African Crested Porcupine

We have a 2 year old African Crested Porcupine. I honestly do not know if it is male or female. It will come up to the cage and accept food and let you get its water or food in or out, but it is not friendly as in you can't pet it. I love it and would totally keep it, but if I can find a better home I would do what is best for him. My preference is a real zoo or licensed hobby facility with enough money to provide a true habitat vs. a cage and money for vet care. It seems perfectly healthy. It does not mind the presence of chickens or peafowl. It has not been directly exposed to any other mammals since it has been in our care. I just want what is best for him / her. I will not let him go to some inexperienced person with small cages. I want him to live his or her best life.
